The second is Nyungwe – Africa’s largest protected mountain forest. It is also home to the greatest concentrations of Chimpanzees and other primates like the Colobus Monkey, the Silver and Vervet monkey, the Mountain and the Red-Tailed monkey among others. The last is a visit to the big game – Akagera National Park. The park is a mix of African savannah, open grasslands and branches of swamps and lakes which are fertile grounds for animals like lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos, a variety of antelope and birds.
